Nick Goodall

Chief Executive Officer, Renewable Fuels Agency (RFA)

Nick Goodall was Chief Executive of the Energy Networks Association (ENA), a programme designed to transmit and distribute gas and electricity, from 2003 . He became Chief Executive of the Renewable Fuels Agency (RFA), an independent sustainable fuels reglator, in 2008. He has also served as CEO at Renewables East, and BWEA, of which he is an honorary life member.

The RFA is the organisation charged by the UK Government with running the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation. They allocate Renewable Transport Fuel Certificates (RTFCs) to suppliers of biofuels in the UK, and ensure obligated companies meet their annual obligation. They also run the RTFO's world leading carbon and sustainability reporting system, and promote the supply of sustainable biofuels. More than just an administrator, the RFA is the UK's independent sustainable fuel regulator, reporting to the UK Parliament and the public on the impacts of fuel supplied under the RTFO.
